I am allowed to want someone to walk beside me without abandoning myself. I am allowed to imagine being chosen without rehearsing rejection. I do not have to earn love through patience, performance, or endurance. I am not wrong for wanting to be met. I can want, and still be safe.
I just want to be in rooms where desire has time to speak.
